It appears HTC's next phone, the Android One-powered U12 Life, will launch with Android 8.1 Oreo and not Android 9.0 Pie. That means that the phone is due sooner rather than later. And the U12 Life will allegedly not be manufactured in house but rather by a third party manufacturer (no word on which one). This is likely the direct result of HTC cutting some 1,500 people from its manufacturing unit.
